Glider Pilot Certificate
The Glider Pilot Certificate GPC qualification recognises the pilot’s ability to carry out cross country flights in varied conditions, to operate independently and safely, and to be able to fly at any site in Australia. The GPC allows a pilot to enter gliding competitions.
Lake Keepit Soaring Club is ideally placed to help you achieve this gliding milestone.
Before a pilot is considered for the Gliding Federation of Australia GPC Qualification, they should work towards gaining skills and knowledge outlined in the GFA Glider Pilot Certificate Syllabus. This includes – demonstrated cross country capability, use of loggers and skills in analysis of flights, competence in rigging and de-rigging, successful outlandings (not mandatory) and use of water ballast.
All club aircraft are fitted with ‘Oudie‘ loggers and there are a huge number of opportunities for XC flights across friendly terrain with lots of outlanding options. Lake Keepit Soaring Club is the ideal place to progress your gliding to the next level
